I can wear size 4 jeans. When I went shopping last week and tried on jeans it was a shock to me! Another inch has disappeared from my waist and hips. The size 4 jeans now fits me. My size 6 jeans still fit. But they are loose. This is amazing.

I have been walking 5 miles each morning at 3.5 to 4 miles an hour to start the day. It is a slow way to lose pounds but it works over time and is best at keeping my heart healthy. I have lost 39 pounds this way. But the last few pounds are stubborn. I am starting some new exercises to get rid of belly fat. But with spinal fusions at ten levels I have movement restrictions and pain that does not allow situps and crunches. So I am doing the best I can...

One more pound to reach my goal of 40 pounds from when I first started and had my widow maker blockage. That was 3 years ago. I have increased my walks in the mornings to a double number of laps for the past month. I have also noticed that it takes about two weeks to lose one pound. About a week before I lose a pound I notice my clothes getting looser and I have about an inch lost in my waist and hips. At the time I notice inches lost I usually have a slight weight gain. Then if I keep up the exercise and calorie rhythm within a week the scales show the weight loss. So that is how my body is processing this new metabollism I have triggered with the eating, sleeping, and exercise rhythm and pattern. I think the weight gain when I have inches lost is muscle replacing fat. It takes time for the scales to show the loss of weight for some reason. I do not understand why. But it is working as long as I keep my calorie intake less than what my body needs for the calories I burn for my weight. If I get 8 hours of sleep, do not eat at night, exercise first thing in the morning before I eat, stay on a rhythm and regular routine, it is working. No sugar! More veggies, fruits, fish, chicken and venison! With spinal fusions at ten levels it has been difficult to find exercises that I can do. That is why it has taken me 3 years to lose weight. But if I keep trying, I believe I will finally reach my goal to have no belly fat. I cannot do situps and crunches for my belly. But I have found some that are safe for me....
