I feel so much better today than I have in weeks. Just losing 10 pounds in 25 days has helped my knees tremendously. I want to reexperience what it's like to walk a mile without pain. That's my Noom goal.
In the meantime, I have to figure out a reward that's not all about eating out. I'm thinking about going to the movies to see Killers of the Flower Moon, but I can't give up popcorn. I just have to control my portions.

Went on a short vacation to the beautiful northwest Georgia mountains. The weather was almost too warm for fall, but the leaf color was perfect. Took our new dog there for the first time and he had a blast. I tried to not overindulge in apple donuts and fudge, but I didn't completely abstain. So my weight is about the same as it was right before we left. I don't feel despair about it.
My injured right knee is almost totally healed. I still have to be careful walking on stairs and uneven ground. One bad pivot like last time and I'll be down for 2-3 weeks again. I can tell that taking a little weight off is helping though. Right before the injury, I was hovering around 220 lbs. The last few times I've hit that weight, my body starts complaining, mostly my knees, so that's an intolerable size. It's humiliating to watch NFL games and realize I'm heavier than most quarterbacks. About the right size for a linebacker actually.
I think I'm about 2-3 weeks into Noom and it is helpful. I will do my best to make it sustainable. I need to work on meal prepping, which is a totally new approach for me. My niece talks about meal prepping on Sundays since she and her husband both have to work jobs away from home. Since Mr C is the chef, and he rarely plans things more than a day ahead, our meals have mostly been spur-of-the-moment and we dine out way too often. I need to clean out the fridge and start over. Can't do it today bc I have to momsit.

Went to Bozeman MT in mid-August to see Boo and her beau. They have been in the midst of a heatwave, so a 1-mile walk to see mudpots in Yellowstone was almost too much for me. Also saw lots of bison. It was beautiful.
I guess my biggest problem right now is lack of will power when it comes to sweets. M&Ms, Cadbury bars, and Reese's cups. The M&Ms I overate the other night were not satisfying. It shouldn't be hard to cut back.
It's the start of a new month. We're going on our third tiny adventure since YStone. The first one was to visit a local religious cult farm for delicious ice cream and sandwiches. That shit was seriously good. The next tiny adventure was to go to the movies at 10pm. We are usually in pajamas by then. The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Not the best horror film but it was fun to be out past midnight and emerge from the theater to see the creepy Super Blue moon. Our next tiny adventure is tonight. We're going to the Rattlesnake Saloon to see our nephew play drums for what looks like a classic rock band. Two-hour drive. Yeehaw.
