I have words of wisdom on my mind today. I meet a Elderly man a couple years ago at work, who gave me some words for thought. He told me he was once 450 pounds, looking at him then you couldn't of guessed it. At 80 he was in better shape then, than most men in their 30's. We sat down and had a chat. He told me the way to his success was slowly adapting a new life style. Take one thing you love that is bad for you and change it with something healthy. Some examples he gave me was:

If you love to read, swap it for a audio book, mp3 player, and walk or bike while you enjoy the book.

If you love Soda, swap it for carbonated water mixed with real fruit juice, might I add its very tasty.

He told me eventually you will make your goal, by taking small steps at a time, and before you know it your a totally different person. He said the main thing is to change the way you think, don't think of it as a diet or a thing for now. Think of it as a way of life, and don't deprive yourself. Let yourself have a treat because we as humans love pleasure, and if we deny ourselves a treat then we are less likely to stay committed to our new choices. This man was a inspiration to me, and a life saver. I miss him as we had a bond after that day, he was my go to person and always had the right words to say. But, he is gone now with the angels, but sometimes when I feel like giving up I feel his presence, and it gives me comfort.
