When I had started exercising over a month back, I had decided to exercise at least 5 minutes each day. The idea was that it would get me moving, make it easier for me to be active, and help me build exercise into a habit. Then, I can gradually increase the amount of exercise I do by 5 minutes.
The 5 measly minutes have helped a lot. I never thought I would itch to be active now. Being handicapped, I am scared of being too active without someone there (I live alone) but now I like being active. Shocked me when I realized that.
Yesterday was the first day when I continuously exercised for 10 minutes. I understand that it may not be that big a deal because I see people exercise for hours each day. But it is a bit of a milestone for me. I do hope that I can continue with it. And maybe, just maybe, my vision of being able to walk continuously for 1 hour isn't that far off. (A girl can dream, can't she?)

It's been ages since I wrote in my journal but had a really bad day yesterday, a horrible end to a really bad week. Seemed as if all hell broke loose. But the thing that makes me proud is the fact that I absolutely did not go on a binge. I did sleep a bit less but that was more habit than the disappointment.
I think I will try and put in a plan of action to do something for the disappointment and try and put things behind me. Hope I succeed. But I am now sure that my emotional eating has reduced. It's my silver lining!

Well yesterday wasn't a very good day for me because I forgot all about the treat we were having at office. So I had a double dose of snack and office sweets. Originally, I had planned to save the treat for dinner but I got talking and moments later my plate was empty and I was groaning 'cus of too much food.
The good thing is that I compensated and exercised a bit more. I also controlled my dinner to a handful of roasted peanuts and was relieved when the amount of calories I spent was eventually less than what I ate.
Today is a holiday and I spent the whole morning sleeping. Skipped lunch, which isn't such a good thing. Ah well, at least I caught up with my sleep. I suppose I need to be careful that I don't binge the rest of the day.

Yesterday was a good day. I resisted the temptation of ordering in and had a meal replacement thingy because I was too exhausted to cook. Unlike the day before, I did not eat junk. I feel so virtuous now.
I feel so proud that I exercised yesterday even though I was exhausted. I also managed to sleep for 7 hrs and am aiming for at least 8 hours today. A slight miss but overall things seem to be looking up.
The thing that I am struggling with is to enter the correct potions. Eyeballing things on my plate doesn't help estimate the grams or milliliters they are. And the fact that foods that I eat regularly aren't here doesn't help things. But I suppose these are beginner's pangs and I will soon be able to overcome them.
