So, yesterday was day 2 of my 5:2 diet. I did good, and didn't really get hungry, however, I did get a little peckish. I had my premiere protein strawberries n cream shake, 32 ounces of sugar free fruit punch drink, got home fixed a salad consisting of a handful of fresh spinach leaves, a handful of red grapes, a chopped mushroom, a very small handful of crutons, and less than 2 tablespoons of Olive Garden dressing. I sampled 1 slice of baked apples, baked in molasses, a little honey and cinnamon, and a very small bite of rice cooked with golden mushroom soup, to go with baked chicken that we will be having Wednesday night for dinner. So, I went from 217.3 on Monday morning to 215 this morning. I know it's not true weight loss, after all it was only 1 day, but still. Progress like that, keeps you motivated. The question will be, what I do today and tomorrow, as Thursday is another Fasting day. Oh, and my sugar was 98 this morning.

So, today is day 2 of the new diet. I made a cup of coffee, drank 2 swallows out of it and haven't touched it since. Yes, I added my creamer and was set for those calories, however, the coffee tasted awful, like way too strong or something. So, I have switched to my Great Value Fruit Punch drink mix, 20 calories (10 calories per packet, 2 packets per 32 ounce bottle of water). Oh, and because I did get a bit peckish, I did decide to drink my premier protein strawberry n cream shake mix for 160 calories. I go to the lab after work to work on Algebra with a classmate, then off to home, for a light bite (hopefully), then bed. Tomorrow, I get to eat regular healthy calories.

I did go for a walk today, blood sugar after walk was 95. This is week three without the Bydurion Injection. Although this morning, my sugar was in the 120's, I'm pretty sure it was the fried catfish, fried okra, sweet coleslaw, and cheese grits that did it, oh and add the half sweet/unsweet tea for dinner that did it.

It's not as bad as I thought it would be though. I mean, I do get a bit peckish, but I have a lot of work to focus on today, payroll must get completed, and we are considering a car purchase, so phone calls to make there. All these things do tend to keep you mind busy and off food.
