I haven't recorded my meals in probably a little over a week. It was finals week, I was working my normal full time job, and my mom was visiting all week. I should have made more time but I didn't have it in me. My mom would have understood but I wanted to focus on her instead of my computer. Despite that I didn't do too badly. I know I went over my calories a little but they were healthy foods like whole wheat vegetarian pizzas and whatnot so I didn't feel guilty. I've been vegetarian for 3 weeks now and it still is not too difficult for me. I accidentally ate something with chicken broth and I didn't know till after and my cheese pizza had a hidden errant pepperoni so it hasn't been perfect but I've done pretty well. I did an unofficial weigh in this morning and I'm still down so I didn't cause myself to derail by not recording but I am back to it! School is done until the end of June and I have a vacation in a month!! I'm debating what I am going to do because I want to stay vegetarian but it might be difficult on my vacation. I might just do the best I can. What if I accidentally order something with meat though? I don't speak Italian. =P

So I have been vegetarian for 6 days now; minus a tiny bite of fish on the first day that I tried without even thinking about it. So I guess only 5 days then haha. It has been an easy adjustment as far as what I have been eating, I just have a problem because someone will offer me to try something and I almost will without even thinking about it. I have been experimenting a lot in the kitchen and I have had some awesome success with vegetarian recipes. Homemade marinara, tzatziki wraps, and stuffed bell peppers galore! It really has been awesome. I've lost almost 5 pounds which has less to do with the vegetarianism and more to do with simply less calories. I do FEEL healthier though. I don't have an upset stomach or heartburn from greasy meat and all of that processed food I was eating before. I've just been using vegetarianism as an excuse to make more food at home but I could just as easily call myself a vegetarian and gorge on potato chips and m&ms. Its a choice the types of foods I consume and so far so good!
