I quit smoking January 2nd, pretty much cold turkey and have gained 20 pounds. I'm tall and naturally thin, but if I hear one more time how I don't look like I've gained weight I will lose my mind. I know I may not look like I've gained anything, but when your shirts don't fit correctly, and your jeans are WAAAYYY too tight then YOU notice. Who cares if no one else notices? I'm not on this website for anyone else, I'm on here for me.
I used to work out everyday...I had to. I was in the Navy. I used to run 5 miles every day. I used to do P90X like it was nothing. Then, I retired 2 years ago and stopped working out, stopped running because what was the point? I'd had 20 years of someone FORCING me to workout and run and I figured I didn't have to do it anymore, so why bother. I also continued to eat whatever, drink whatever I wanted to. I had a great metabolism...then I hit 41. Goodbye high metabolism...hello healthy life style. My husband says he loves me no matter what, but the problem is, I'm not happy with me, I'm not happy with too tight clothing, I'm not happy with negative comments about how I should be happy with what I weigh. News flash: I'm not, but I don't just complain about it, I'm going to do something about it. Starting Now.
