I'm thinking April, my birthday in-particular has become the worst day ever. Not because it's the day I was born but because the day before is the day my 2nd husband came home from "work" with a huge hickey on his neck and asked for a divorce and now this year the day before my best friend, my sister from another mother died. My husband I missed but got over it in a month. My friend I find it's really hard to get over. It's like my dad, who will be dead 15 years in 4 days. It still hurts to this day. I now have a new friend who I really enjoy being around. We have a lot in common. She has a weight problem also and like my friend has type 2 diabetes and it's not regulated. I am so worried about her I think I'm going to pull away because I don't want to lose anyone else I care about. To make matters worse my 88 yr old mom is having heart problems and I know i'm going to lose her soon also. It feels like my life is spiraling out of control and I can't stop it.
So why now have I decided to put this down? Because it's finally coming to the front of my mind. I'm not losing weight due to anything i'm doing. It's because of the timing. When my dad died I divorced the father of my children and moved 3 states away from them. I kept in touch but I pulled away because I was afraid to lose them too. Now I'm doing everything in my power to stay with the man I'm with and my 18 yr old daughter and my mom but as mom and my new friend get ill I know i'm pulling away and I'm thinking maybe I'm trying to disappear instead of running.
