>>>>>>>>>> A Month <<<<<<<<<<

A lot can happen in a month. I found out that the gestation period of a Muskrat is 30 days so that can happen. But I've also been going to the gym every day for 31 days in a row now. While the scale isn't dropping as dramatically as I had hoped, it is moving in the right direction. I am one pound away from being 2 sacks of potatoes lighter than I was at the start of this year and I definitely notice things like my belt getting bigger and it getting easier to bend over and tie my shoes.

Today is also day 3 of my Genghis Grill Health Kwest challenge and I must say that the food is so far so good. This will be a challenge on portion control for me because its a "take what you want and put it in the bowl" kind of place and I'll need to be aware of my selections as well as how much 5-6oz is of meat. But I'm feeling good so far.

That is just a quick update, I'll try to check back in sooner rather than later.

>>>> New Challenges <<<<

So as of yet I've been unable to break out of the 400s into the 300s. I'm sitting at 401 and I can't help but think there may be some self-sabotage involved. I know I haven't made the best eating choices (I can tell when I don't keep up with my food tracker things are wrong) but I have been going to the gym every day. I'm now on day 22 of my 100 day self-challenge and I feel myself getting more confident each time I go in.

To add to my new challenges I was selected as a contestant for Genghis Grill's Health Kwest. I'm competing with over 100 other individuals across the country to lose the most weight in a 60 day period while eating Mongolian grill style food at least once a day from Genghis Grill. There is prize money and all that involved but I will be looking at it from a personal standpoint of bettering myself.

I'd love for y'lls support on that Health Kwest challenge and will be posting facebook/twitter/instigram/youtube/blog info on how you can follow my journey for 60 days. I'm actually very excited about it.

Anyway, that is it for now. You know I'll be posting when I drop out of the 400s!

>>> Am I Hungry or Just Not Full? <<<

So I've paid a lot more attention to my body in the last two weeks regarding what I put into it. How do I feel after I eat? For example, this morning I had some yogurt, granola, apple pieces and honey all mixed together. It was delicious and now I feel so full its absurd. It was less than 500 calories and I feel too full to work out. *but I will!*

This increased awareness made me think about the differences I feel between being hungry and not being full. I've been so used to being full and overly stuffed for so long that when I'm not stuffed then I misinterpret it as being hungry. Not stuffed = hungry. But I'm not hungry. I'm just not full. That difference in feeling is what I've still got to get a hold on.

How to know when I'm hungry, how to know when I'm full and how to know when I'm neither one. If anyone out there has been able to hold onto that, please share!

On a side note, I'm down to 402 and I'm so close to being out of the 400s that I can taste it! But I'm not gonna eat it because I don't know how many calories are it in!
