Day before yesterday as my daughter and I were walking to the bus stop, my knee gave out and I just collapsed right there in the street. So yesterday I gave myself a day off from my usual workout to recover a bit as I was bruised and sore pretty much all over. Today got back on the horse and did my hour and a half on the treadmill. Still sore but feeling much better than yesterday.

Today was a nice rainy day here in the Pacific Northwest. It has been a long Summer this year and the Fall is a welcome change for me.

I believe I've been doing very well sticking to my diet and making sure I get all my vitamins and added Biotin to my morning vitamins because I do feel that I have been losing hair as a side affect from dramatic weight loss and was warned previous to having surgery that it could happen. I went and had blood drawn to check for any vitamin deficiencies that I may be experiencing.

Over all life is good and I'm thankful for my decision to live a healthier life from now on. I do hope all of my buddies are having a great day. Take care, Bea

Everything seems to be going well. Today I went to the YMCA to do my workout and a very nice lady came and was working out right next to me and said that she had noticed that I had dropped a lot of weight and that I looked real good. This is the kind of thing that really inspires to me to keep going. I said that I had seen her lots of times at the Y. She is a bit older than I am and I told her how wonderful it is that she keeps moving. Sometimes the older I get the harder it is for me to keep going. I've noticed aches that I haven't really noticed before but I can't let it slow me down. I am on a roll with this. I had a NSV when I tried on a shirt that I bought 18 years ago when I took my kids on vacation to Disneyland and Universal Studios. It has a picture of my son and daughter on it. I had never wore this shirt before because I've always been too big to wear it but now...it fits. Hope you have all had a great day :)

Hi to all my buddies, I know that I've not been doing very well with journaling for a while but time just seems to get a way from me. I believe I am doing well with my diet and actually getting better all the time about getting back to my minimum of a hour and half a day exercise only need to increase my daily work out by another 15 minutes and I'll have made it. Since my surgery I have found that boiled eggs make me nauseous so I'm leaving them alone for now. I am primarily sticking to soups as they don't cause me as much discomfort to eat as regular food. Really I don't mind as I like soup and my daughter has joined me in my living on soup. I've also been busy doing my best to get prepared for my eventual move from this place that has been my home now for almost 10 years now. I am looking forward to all the new things that are coming my way for my life. I've also tried very hard to encourage my daughter to also set some new goals for her life. I want to really be at peace with my decisions and not to ever feel like I've abandoned her as I do feel that her being bipolar is always going to make me nervous about what is going on in her life.
