I am new to FS and so far very happy with it. I am 50, married, with 3 boys (33,17,15). I grew up underweight, eating everything and anything I wanted. Which means I did not learn how to fuel my body properly when young. At about 25 my metabolism started acting like an adult, and I slowly gained. And gained.
In my 40s I decided to really put in the work and joined ww, and started to exercise regularly. I lost 42 lbs and kept it off for a few years. Then came some injuries, depression, and health problems and 25lbs came back. I was just starting to get healthy and active again, when I was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (a whole story unto itself).

During my treatment for AML I gained 45lbs, and lost every bit of muscle I ever had. Proudly in remission and done with the other health issues (thanks to a complete hysterectomy) I started my journey to fit again.After losing 30lbs and stalling, I went back to ww. It worked before! I have been stuck at about the same weight for almost 2 years. Thinking all the while that I must be doing something wrong. Then one day, I decided to compare my points to my calories. WOAH. What I was doing wrong is believing ww was good for me, and I was just not doing it right.

SO, here I am, laying it all out, counting every calorie, and losing weight. Still working on becoming fit and figuring out this post cancer body, but finding something that works for me has been a big boon to my attitude!
