A week of holiday not logging. Will continue now at maintenance or just under and monitor the weight. Actually, cannot decide whether to focus on strength and eat full maintenance or keep up a deficit and reach goal weight. Finding it hard to let go of the scale as a measure of success. Shall I just drop to goal and then get fit or is my wish for strength greater? Being obese in terms of body fat percentage is a worry though so perhaps this should be the first goal? If so then follow trainer advice, eat maintenance and train hard to build muscle. Looking at some success stories, people look better with more muscle although often no weight lost. If this is the case then I would have achieved both goals as the reason to be lighter is largely to look good. However, when climbingg or doing gymnastics the lighter I am the easier it will be!! Quandary!!!!
