Day Three of no sugar, and 2 full days of meals recorded after a long stint of not paying any attention to what I was eating (a month plus of fast food lunches). I was shocked to see that I was 500 calories under my recommended daily amount, especially considering I didn't feel deprived, or hungry at all yesterday, it is amazing how "much" you can eat when you are eating the right foods. I slept through the night and woke up before my alarm feeling rested. Feeling very encouraged!

Today is day two of 30 day sugar detox. And there are muffins at the office! So far so good, last night was tough as I was craving sugar, but I managed to curb it with some plain strawberries. A girlfriend of mine is 3/4 of the way through the #whole30 challenge which is what inspired me. I know my affection for dairy and grains, so I decided to try no sugar first instead of cutting everything out at once.

I hate the social pressures of working in an office, my boss brought in frosted sugar cookies for the first day of summer/Friday/thank you as she is new...I had stayed away from refined sugar ALL WEEK, but today I ate 3 petals off the flower...It's safely out of site in my desk drawer and I'm drinking water like a madwoman to get the sugary sweetness begging me to eat more out of my mouth.
It is okay, other than that little misstep it has been a great week, I followed my fruit/veggie intensive meal plan about 85%, which is huge progress!! I haven't made my way into my full workout routine but I've been walking extra at work and have been doing a squat challenge and Tracy Anderson 4min arm workouts, and that little change feels great and is very motivating. Yay me! I will be starting a 5-Day Juice Cleanse on Sunday so I'll be sticking to Yoga, squats and arms, low impact workouts. I can feel the toning already!
