It's hard to make sure you eat good nutrients if you aren't eating a lot of calories in a day. I try not to beat myself up on that part because it takes a lot of energy to just refrain from binge eating. I can pick out certain things it would be better if I wasn't eating - sausage, mayo, mini kind bars. These are hi-fat items with very little value-add as far as nutrients. I'm sure that sausage has HFCS and additives and the Kind bar, although it has almonds, has a "glucose syrup" which is probably a hidden HFCS. Since I have so much weight to lose I am just focusing on calories, no binge eating, low carb, and exercise. I will eventually try to improve my diet as well.
299.0 lb Lost so far: 53.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You are doing really well, I would recommend adding more fats to bring your calories up. Dont cut out fatty things, mayo and sausage are very good for you (contrary to what we have always been taught). Read the packages, make sure that your sausage doesnt have caramel color, its a hidden sugar. Add butter/mayo/sour cream to your meats when you eat them, add whipped heavy cream to your coffee, things like that. Your body will use the fat and you will start dropping a little more. It will also keep you full so you dont feel the urge to binge eat. If you need help, ask around, we are all happy to help!! You can do this!!

Thanks Buddies! I have the next challenge ahead - no binge eating during my 6 hour drive ahead of me after work. It's hard to drive so far after a long day at work.

Best wishes for success! I have found that closer a food is to its natural state, the more nutrition it contains and the more satisfying it is.
