Elsydeon9's Journal, 29 April 2010

I actually started atkins at the beginning of this week, and have lost 5 lbs from Monday to Thursday. You have no idea how happy this makes me. I have not been hungry for the most part and if I do I reach for cheese stick or grn olives while at work. Headaches have been minimul(sp)compared to what the md was wanting me to do. I ordered the P90 program, surprisingly with my husbands blessings. Now to get to work on exercising.

That is so awesome! I started on Monday as well and have lost 4 lbs. Can't complain. This is the first time that I have tried Atkins and am impressed with the results and how much you are able to eat. My sister lost 65 lbs in 7 months doing this and has kept it off for years. She is my motivation! Good luck with the P90 program! :D

That is great and encouring. I've done Atkins before and had success, I lost 30lbs but sadly let it creep back on. I want to change my life for good while not trying to deprive myself. A low carb diet is good for me. I've had fun trying to find foods that satisfy carb cravings esspecially pasta. Spaghetti squash has been a good replacement.

This is actually the 2nd time I've done atkins. The first time I lost 50 pounds then my Dr told me to go off because she thought it dangerous even though all my numbers were great while on it. Now since all the scientific evidence is proving Atkins right she wants me to count my carbs but this only after I gained everything back and then some doing it her way. I refuse to let md talk me out of this again.

Oh no! Well my sister is a RN and her husband is a Dr. and they both agree that this is a healthy and safe diet. I am taking their advice and encouragement and sticking with Atkins. I've seen it work and I want that success to call my own. Best of luck with everything!
