10st 11.7 Fat 26.5% No WW. The Wii informs me, to my disgust, that I have failed to meet my goal - a lousy 1lb off in 2wks. And I've done what I can every day, met step goals, and only gone over cals out (on fitbit, which is nothing like as generous as fatsecret!) 1 single day since 8th Jan. I remember I started last year the same, it's so frustrating, and then I put a stone on over the year so I can't have that happen again now! I guess it's my age, but to have to cut back/exercise more just makes me sad 😔 I have lost, a teeny bit, so I could just carry on at snail's pace, but of course when you make the effort you want instant magic wand results!! I so hoped to lose a pound a week till Iceland so I could get back in my ski trousers, even as tight as they were in Oct. It shouldn't really have come as a surprise this morning tho as I knew my trousers felt no looser, but you can't help that hope, a triumph of optimism over experience!
151.7 lb Lost so far: 27.3 lb.    Still to go: 19.7 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Mmmmm, I’m wondering if it’s an age thing (for me.... I’m not calling you old!) or maybe it’s just boredom from doing the same old thing. I used to swear by calorie counting but am sick of it. I’ve only done Slimming World for 2 weeks but I’m loving the food, and I’m not missing the Friday and Saturday takeaways (which is what got me in this mess). Maybe you just need a change? A friend of mine is doing Keto (it’s not my kind of thing) and she’s lost 10lb in less than 2 weeks) x

I simultaneously despise and am insanely jealous of those folk doing weird and wonderful things with magnificent success when I'm being such a snail 🐌! Good to know the SW is suiting you so well, keep up the good work! 2yrs ago what I've done would have worked so I'm resigned that it is my age, and dw I think you're younger than me! A colleague had to cut her cals back to 1300 to make an effect, I think I'd struggle with that. They say carbs are harder to deal with when you're premenopausal so I might have to try and drop that a bit BUT THAT'S ALL THE GOOD STUFF!!!

I don't know if zig zagging your calories might help to boost your metabolism, but it's worth a try!

I think we are more or less the same age (I’m 46). Keep plugging away, you’ll get there. Enjoy your holiday and get back on it when you get home. Since I’ve had this anxiety thing going on I’ve learned to accept things as they are and try not to compare myself to other people. Ps I too am a snail 😀

Hi Yasmin, what is zig zagging calories please?

give it a Google, it can explain it better. but it boosts your calorie burning by keeping your body guessing. so say you're on 1300 cals a day right now, you'd zig zag them by having, say, 900 one day, then the next having 1400

Hi I'm 60 at the end of this year and was in the same position as you so 2 weeks ago I went low carb. not exactly keto as that's too strict for me but I've lost half a stone as I lied about my starting weight as I'd gone up to 148 lbs I was 140.6 or 140 according to my two scales 😂yesterday. feel free to look at my food diary as I'm eating loads but still keeping my calories under 1600 and enjoying 350ml of wine with my evening meal. my fat intake has increased loads and that's keeping me full for longer. I'm feeling very motivated to keep this going for 6 months and then I can try to introduce some carbs again but I must admit I never feel bloated or get indigestion on this diet. I've learned to love raw baby spinach and eat loads of it. good luck if you try it👍
