I walked 34km (more than 7h) yesterday and ate 1700 kcal, how is it even possible I gained weight instead of lost it? I am going to bed hungry every day, my last meal is at 6pm, what am I dong wrong?

Try 40% protein, 40% good fats and 20% carbs. Salty things causes water retention. Exercise may build muscle, good for metabolism and strength and shapes the body nicely but it also shows up on the scale initially. Muscle is heavier. If your clothes are fitting better, then you are getting a good result. Best of luck to you.
