Although I've gained weight (4 lbs) my clothes are fitting looser. I am exercising regularly, so this could be weight from muscle mass. Don't know.
266.0 lb Lost so far: 74.0 lb.    Still to go: 86.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 1.9 lb a week

how much time did it take for your to gain that weight. also are you coming from a low carb diet?

You make a very good point - I've been overweight for hundreds of years. I have gained up to seven pounds in a weeks time only to lose five the next week. However, I am on a downward trend. And yes I am coming from a low carb diet - protein is my friend. :-)

If you suddenly increase carbs in your diet you will gain a bunch of weight from glycogen stores in the liver which is a good thing for you. This is why people on a strict diet have cheat meals its to replenish these stores and allow your body to keep using fat stores while not affecting your muscle. For some reference I have lost 30 pounds of fat in 6 months and my body fat percentage has gone from a 15 to about an 8 I follow a 40 40 20 diet btw.
