I am a little disappointed becuase I only lost two pounds this week. I don't know why because two pounds is a reasonable amonut of weight to lose in a week. I guess I have gotten caugt up with the numbers. While the numbers are important they are not the end all of everything. My clothes are fitting better, my enrgy level is up, and so is my confidence. As far as the diet goes I have not eaten any junk food or fried foods. I think my problem lied in not eating enough during the day. When I reviewed for the week I realized I skipped quite a few meals due to lack of planning. I put my body into starvation mode. Today I am going to make all of my meals as stated in the book for this week and freeze them. When I stay busy I tend to forget about eating, then I get home and work out and that also kills my appetite. I am not giving my body enough fuel for the amount of exercising I am doing. I am also not eating much meat. I have really been relying on beans to get most of my protien. I am going to try to do better next week and see how it goes. After all, my goal is to lose 10 pounds a month and I have lost 9 so far in only two weeks.
239.0 lb Lost so far: 9.0 lb.    Still to go: 79.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You're doing wonderful and you seem to know exactly what you need to do to see more results. You're headed in the right direction and that's what counts. I think beans are better than meat actually, b/c they lack the fat but I'm no vegetarian by any means so if you need meat, go for it.

You are doing great, don't beat yourself up so much! The slower you loose it the better off you are anyways! 9 lbs in 2 weeks is great, that means you only have 1 more to go and you will hit your 10 lb goal for the month! As long as your clothes are fitting better and you are feeling better that is all that matters! Measure yourself once to see what you are at that way and then measure again in a few weeks, you will be happy at the results! Keep up the great work!

I'm so impressed with you! You are doing so great! My gut feeling is if you keep up your routine (and eat a little more so you don't go nuts ;) - you'll drop a lot more weight next week - your hormones and water retention may be the reason the scale didn't show more. I noticed with my weight it shows no weight loss for a few days and then boom 3 pounds gone! So, it's not about the numbers it's about all that other stuff you mentioned - now believe it!!

Yeah, 2 pounds a week is fantastic!! My goal is to lose 100 pounds, and if I can lose it at 2 pounds a week, well that's only 1 year. What I can't seem to get over are the numbers that the folks on Biggest Loser seem to put up. I mean it's anywhere from 5-10 pounds a week! I wonder what they are eating and how much. Jim

I'd take 2 pounds a week! Don't get discouraged because you are doing things the healthy way. A great plan for keeping the weight off:)
