re: 14 pounds in 14 days

i cannot lose on l200 calories a day, for my body its more like 'maintenance' ... i get very little, if any exercise; knee surgery, etc., ... i can only lose by cutting calories to around 900 (give or take) ... don't get me wrong, it's not easy, and i am NOT perfect, i've had my share of minor *setbacks*, however, practicing *portion control* allows me to eat EVERYthing ... and i'm eating HEALTHIER than i've eaten in my entire life ... just not so much of it and some food choices i canNOT make very often; especially sweets, although i do limit the size while enjoying it ALL (there is NOTHING i doNOT allow on this regime) ... i could never live on celery, carrots and yogurt; if my meals were NOT scrumptious & yummy and VERY appetizing to lQQk forward to, then it would be impossible to continue, and i would NOT have lost 59.4 pounds (fifty-nine point four -> imagine!?! since i started this journey on August 9th 2012 ... O and plenty of WATER, lottsa WATER ... sipping it all day long!!! my doc has taken me OFF one diabetic med. and cut in half the 2nd one ... all my #s are xcellent; i feel great; continue to be motivated and consider this my new & healthier approach to food & weight loss; food is no longer my enemy; however, i KNOW very well that keeping it OFF will be an even BIGGER challenge then losing it was and is.
