Rowanfair's Journal, 29 December 2011

I did really well over the holiday weekend. I went over my carbs on Saturday but was otherwise eating cleanly. Got a new cookbook, Paleo Comfort Foodsfor Yule and am looking forward to checking it out.

My SiL also gave me coconut flour and unsweetened organic coconut flakes were on sale at WF... I need to figure out a macaroon recipe. My birthday is next week and it would be nice to have a new treat. My childhood birthday treat was orange coconut cake, something I don't imagine I'll ever eat again.

Still fighting the sinus infection. I am so ready to be healthy.

Happy New Year and Happy Birthday when it comes. Haven't 'talked' to you in a while, hope you are doing okay and that that sinus infections leaves you soon. You have been sick a l o n g time. I like the look of that cook book I'm not a cook but it is very tempting.

Happy New Year to you too! I've gotten that one and Everyday Paleo... but I still find that whilst I read them for inspiration I wind up going on the web and looking at 6-8 different variations on various low carb sites before I make up my own version. But the pictures of tasty food are definitely inspiring me to cook more. LOL
