Hi Misty, I know this is a real challenging time for you, as you are fighting two things at the same time. They both work against each other. Read my post today with the link, that talks about health over weight loss. I am so glad you are really trying to keep your body together, and quit smoking. You know, one of the first things that happens when you quit smoking, is that food starts tasting better, and weight gain often follows. My 2 cents of advice, is to just focus on NOT SMOKING. The diet you can worry about later. Keep as busy as possible working out or whatever. Keep your mind off of it. This is not an easy thing you are attempting. It takes a while to clear the nicotine in your blood. You can do this, but there may be many fits and starts in diet, and the detox, and habit loss with the smokes. Good luck on it.

Thanks Warren. I originally need to gain weight when I decided to quit. So, I've quit and I gained and now to reel it in. I'm not ok going up too much further ya know. But, I won't turn back on quitting. Anyway- just got on really I did my workouts today: shoulder and abs. Had bbq made a nice cold spaghetti noodle pest tomato black olive cheese "salad" some steamed broccoli w Swiss and a ciabatta roll for dinner ;-) we both cooked which is fun fun fun. Hope your dr apt went well.
