I keep telling my cats this. All of them are conked out right now. Need to roust their nocturnal asses and get them on a daytime schedule!

I used to wake my cats up all day long with little pokes - then they had to sleep at night to catch up!

So could it be true? Could 6:30-9:00 pm. be the most critical time to lose weight, because it allows your body to burn fat at night?

Sleep Totally Matters. Last Cut I got obsessive about scale weight, sometimes weighing in multiple times per day. On a 3:00 am bano run, I hopped on the scale. Hopped back on at 0500 for my standard weigh-in. One pound lighter. WTF?

Started tracking it. Did the double weigh in many times. Same result (when cutting). I was dropping pounds between 1:00 - 5:00 am. Then I started reading. Turns out metabolized body fat leaves the body through respiration. You breath it out as CO2 (IIRC). Sleep apparently accellerates this, for reasons I don't pretend to understand.

Jimmie, I always lose on average about 2 to 3 lbs overnight. I think nighttime snacks can do double harm to your diet.

Your body repairs and recovers when you sleep. We need quality rest.

Carmen, I really think the sleep link gives great advice. Especially staying away from as much eating as possible after 6:00 pm. Set a time each night to force yourself to get undistracted sleep. Read those suggestions! This could really help you. Getting exercise during the day helps too. Good luck, my dear!

Excellent, I just bought all my avocados for the Avocado Challenge!

Suzi, they are creamy and lemon or salt and pepper, or all three, are nice for seasoning them.

Here, in Nevada, just got 5 for $5 at Whole Foods. They were 4 for $5 last week. About the lowest I've seen is 89 cents for small ones that were not ripe. I would think they could be grown in Greece as they grow well in warmer parts of California. But maybe Greece is too hot? I know they can't take freezing temperatures so they don't grow in northern Nevada.

I bought mine at a dollar a piece. They are large. They are kind of expensive here. They can range from a dollar to $1.75.

Hass and Fuerte are very good tasting avocados. We have those here too.

Hi Carmen, I get my small avocados 5 for $1.00 but I live in an avocado processing town lol, I think they sell all the rejects here for cheap!

Warren your post explains why I'm fat! I never get a solid 8 hours, there's always one of my rascals needing something at night!

That must be tough. How old are they? Maybe try some of those tips, I did think it was informative article. One reason I have money is I have no kids. lol

Carmen Greek fruits sounds so exotic and tasty! What are they? Warren, my kids are 3 and 3 and 4... Well past the waking up stage, but we all sleep on a giant King and twin combined so maybe that's why they wake me!!
