wow, this weight gain is a surprise. I thought I was doing fairly well!

I've been having salads every day, drinking water and not having any food except for a fruit after supper.

Wine! that's the culprit - has to be.

And inactivity!

I'm not too disappointed, because I've started eating well and have given up on the junk food in a good measure. My food cravings have all but disappeared - so I see that if I tweak my lifestyle, I'll be going down.

On a positive note, I've paid down a whole lot of debt this year. (I've lived well below normal standards) There were no sacred cows and I kept at it, razor sharp focus detailing every penny I spent. Funny that I don't mind that (I rather enjoy the meditative process) but counting calorie and measuring drives me up the wall!

Life is about arithmetic, it seams. You've got to count, measure and manage everything!

I've recently watched a 'talk' whereas the speaker was saying that in actuality people who work have about two hours to themselves a day. (I'm sure people with small children have even less). And that we want to do, see, learn, read, watch, visit everything. And that's a source of stress. So, knowing this, I've got to focus on what I want to achieve in these two hours per day. And accept that I only have two hours a day. Plan it so I don't lose it or waste it. That's my new insight for this year. The theory is always the easy part.
