Huh! Maybe I finally figured out what was making me fat all those years.
357.0 lb Lost so far: 6.7 lb.    Still to go: 173.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

That's awesome! I did figured mine out about a year ago. For me it is carbs. They hate me...lol. 😞

me, it is just no control. I quit smoking 7 years ago and then I quit alcohol 5 years ago. that was harder than the smoking. been working on the portion control and it is hard. year before last I lost 45 lbs, this year I am trying to lost the 30 lbs I gained back for that over the last year and a half. up and down. but I have put my foot down. with God all things are possible if you have the faith. so with him I was able to give up 2 of my really bad habits, so I will and can do this.

Jenny, its the same with me. If I eat carbs, my body gets fat. If I avoid carbs I can eat as much as I want, not exercise at all (work has been way too busy) and I still lose weight. I'm only one week into this but this is the first time I don't feel like I'm on a diet. I eat whenever I want, I just have to choose carefully. Yesterday we had a company lunch, pizza and salad. I ate caesar salad minus croutons and ate the cheese and pepperoni off the pizza. Felt funny throwing the pizza bread away but it didn't feel funny on the scale this morning.

Yes. For me carbs are the hard part. So many things have high carb content. Just knowing helps me seek out and keep on hand foods that are lower in carbs. Even so I allow myself a sandwich with both slices of bread every now and then.

I'm glad you figured it out. Sugar is poison regardless of how it gets in your body.

For me it was my EX. Now I'm living life on the lighter side. But watching calories in vs calories out works for me. There are only three food groups proteins ,carbs and fats. So we have to really work hard remember a great body is created at the foods we eat not at the hours we spend at the gym
