Happily surprised with my weigh-in this morning (pleasantly surprised didn't seem to cover it). I knew I wasn't over-eating, but also haven't been quite back to my regular exercise routine yet, either.
Today is a good day! Although we found out yesterday that my husband has Valley Fever in addition to pneumonia, at least it explains a lot of things. He really looks like he's turned a corner and may finally be on the path to good health. I'm fairly certain it'll be along road, but just getting a couple of good meds in him and a decent night's sleep has helped. He looks better, too. I just hope and pray he won't be one that suffers for months and months and hit with it again and again. One of my daughter's friends had Valley Fever and was really hit hard. She ended up being on the anti-fungal meds for a year. My husband just started a three month course of them. If the improvement over a couple of days ago to now is any indication, the three month course may do the trick. He's missed two weeks of work - unheard of for him. He's working from the bed, though, but I still think that's a good sign.
I've got more to talk about, but think I'll hold off until tomorrow. I really do want to get back into journaling and recording food intake, and to pay more attention to my buddies lives and to try to give input or understanding as needed.

Oh, D....I feel like such a yutz...here you are dealing with your hubby's illness and I was so wrapped up in my own sadness, that I hadn't even checked in on you! I will be praying for your hubby and for you, of course. What is Valley Fever? Never heard of it before. Sounds really nasty. Hugs and lots of love to you my friend! <3<3<3<3<3

Does valley fever mean he will start talking like this? "so like I was totally *snaps bubble gum* You know doing this thing?" Sorry, just trying to lighten the mood a bit. hopefully he only needs 3 months worth of stuff to nip it in the bud!

ctlss... do NOT feel bad in the least. The stuff you've been going through is HUGE. Here? Hopefully a glitch in the road. He's going to try going back to work tomorrow. It's good to see him out of bed (you know what I mean! lol)

Hey Pixi - no, no valley girl speak from him. He's barely got his sense of humor about him! But he's coming around. And yeah, it's scary and some nasty stuff. Hopefully on it's way to banishment. You're a fairy or something, right? Can't you spread a little Pixi dust over here? :D

I've missed you, too, Bren. I HOPE things are going back to normal. I'll try to post tomorrow and update - hopefully that'll mean he is back to work and on the road to wellness. Hope you had a great weekend! Thanks for hugs - sure can use them!

My dad always talks about valley fever. He has compromised lungs so they always have him on meds. I'm so happy to hear your hubs is starting to feel better. I hope YOU are doing good as well. =)
