Today my son turns 23! I just can't believe how the time has flown by. He's a great "kid" - really is still more "kid" than "man". But he likes it that way! lol I'm very proud of him - he's so intelligent, he's even-tempered, funny, caring and has a zest for life. Nearly always positive and upbeat. He'll graduate college this year with a degree in Aerospace Engineering (yep, I have my very own rocket scientist! :D). He changed his major from Business to this after the first two years of college - hence his being 23 when he will graduate. At this point, he, too, should graduate with honors. Our daughter is aiming for Summa Cum Laude and will most likely achieve that. Smart kids - sure they got it from their father! lol.. Anyway, I'm very proud of my kids and am looking forward to the next chapter in all of our lives - them moving off and creating their own lives and my husband and I becoming just "a couple" again for a few years before his retirement. Again, life is GOOD and I'm a VERY lucky woman!

Bren, I'd think having a MIL living with me for 18 years would make me crazy. I loved mine, but I just can't imagine sharing my house with another woman. I'll bet you're enjoying being a couple again, no matter how dear she was. Wow, this whole thing sounds so much worse than I intended. I hope you know what I mean. Anyway, hope you had a great bath and glass of wine! Have one for me, too - I'm not to have any for another 2 1/2 weeks!

Strawberry - I'll pass on your wishes to my son. Poor guy ended up having a flat tire on the way home from the concert last night so my husband had to go teach him to change a tire. 23? Sure, why not? I guess 1:30am flats are the reason you're supposed to teach them this when they start driving! lol.. As for loving them? If we didn't, we'd kill our young! :D But I think I get where you were going there... thing is, pretty sure that woman once felt these things but has been so damaged, for whatever reasons, beyond her capabilities to really love anymore. (I hope, or she truly IS a psychopath). Hope your weekend is fabulous and your welcome. I like reading your stuff - you're so real it's almost as though I can hear your voice.
