DAY 42! MY 6 WEEK GOAL ON PROGRAM IS ACCOMPLISHED!!!! I have remained on induction and ongoing weight loss programs, exersized and lifted weights for 6 weeks--the amount of time that studies show it takes to form a habit. I can see that these behaviours have become a habit and incorporated pretty easily into my life. Granted, I am not dealing with the things many of you are--little kids, kids and jobs, other health problems. I have a great job with a little flexibility, a cafeteria at work that will make me omlettes in the morning and great salads for lunch, my kids are grown and launched, my husband is very supportive and incorporates Atkins when he cooks (he's the cook in our family!). I am very grateful for every advantage I have this time around and am doing my best to do my part.

Now--I get to set my next goals. (By the way, the two kitties in my profile photo represent my reward for attaining my first goals--a massage!)

ANOTHER 6 WEEKS ON PROGRAM--THAT'S THE GOAL. I would love to lose another 5 pounds--to 140 (reasonable I think) but that is secondary-the more important is incorporating thse principles into my life and another 6 weeks should present me with situations that challenge. I will continue to have an occasional glass of wine but not incorporate that as a freq occurence. One component that has been missing is a stretching program. I do 3 stretches after eliptical in the morning but it's not enough. That's another 'habit' goal for me this six weeks. Go me!!!

Breakfast Atkins choc chip granola bar, coffee w half and half, lunch salad, chicken, portobella mushrooms, swiss cheese, cucumbers and tomatos, blue cheese dressing, diet coke, dinner, veal with tomaotes, diet coke.
144.8 lb Lost so far: 14.0 lb.    Still to go: 9.8 lb.    Diet followed 100%.
