Eden6's Journal, 28 June 2015

Disappointed to see my number go up, but I have been doing body weight workouts. I'm hoping it's a sign of increased muscle mass, and not a backslide.
160.8 lb Lost so far: 3.0 lb.    Still to go: 20.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 0.5 lb a week

Muscle gain takes a long time... http://www.aworkoutroutine.com/weight-loss-plateau-myth-muscle-weighs-more-than-fat/

Increasing the size and number of muscle fibers takes time. Increasing the amount of fluid in your muscles--which is a part of the muscle's repair process--does not take much time. It's called the "pump" effect, and it's why people might do a quick set of sit ups and push ups before going to the beach.

I'm pretty sure that's very temporary. I don't think it would add to your over all weight unless you weigjed yourself immediately after, and you would have to be taking on fluids for the effect to add weight wich would already be skewing the weight.

Ok fine, Illdill. I got fatter then, despite exercising and sticking to my diet. Feel better?

No. Not really. I have been worrying about the same thing the last couple days.

Illdill do you ever have anything polite to say?

Just the facts ma'am.

I think you missed the memo of being a "supportive community" here on Fatsecret. And just the facts, there is a reason trainers and other experts tell you NOT to work out the same muscle groups two days in a row. It's because your body is STILL repairing your muscles. So actually, believe it or not, you are wrong. There is still extra fluid in your muscles up to 48 hours after working them out, because the muscles are still rebuilding. If you are determined to be a sanctimonious jerk, please refrain from commenting on my journal entries. You'll be wasting your time, since I'm just going to start deleting them.
