My nutritionist suggested a calorie goal of 1500-1800 daily. I had been getting average of 1000-1200. I wasn't sure it would help, especially since I'd hit a stall. But she was absolutely right. My loss has really been great this week. And with more calories, it's easier to focus on getting that 100g of protein. I'm actually getting more carbs, but it is working. Nice loss this week. And getting more sleep too, since I'm still off work for surgery. It's working! Ready to start tomorrow and track the whole week.

Super proud of myself for getting back into it after a couple weeks off. I've never been able to take a break like that and get back to it. I always end up completely derailed. Just so happy with my progress given the challenges I've had the last few weeks!

Turned 48 yesterday. I have high hopes of meeting my goals by my next birthday...and enter my 50s looking better than I have since my 20s!

Happy birthday! I don’t get how eating more calories works to lose weight. I’m in the same boat. Maybe I should increase calories?

The body is a weird, cool thing. I too find that when I stall, I up my fat and protein, cut carbs and increase calories by a few hundred for a week or two. For some reason it breaks the stall. Could be the body thinks it's starving at a lower caloric intake and does all it can do to hang onto the reserves. Wish it were smart enough to know that there is plenty of fuel in reserve though.
