Peppy, I totally get the time difference. I was fortunate enough to serve my country and spent two years in Germany myself back around 1993. I really enjoyed my time there. It was very similar to where I live here in Wisconsin. And the people there were so amazing to me. I will never forget that!! ♥️😁

Yes Peppy, there are many many folks here in Wisconsin with a German background ! In Germany, I was stationed at Wildflecken, for nine months and then moved to Grafenvoer to finish my two years. I’m sure I misspelled them. Sorry, Lol Think I made a couple trips to Frankfurt to see the big city and went to Austria one time on a ski trip . I think someday if I have time, I would love to go back and visit for a couple weeks. 😊 Whereabouts do you live Peppy?  

Frankfurt is the financial center and the only German city with a skyline of skyscrapers, so that is something impressive to many Germans. I've been to Frankfurt some months ago for professional reasons. If you'd like to re-visit Germany, I would recommend you to either go to Hamburg or to Cologne because the most open-minded and cheerful people in Germany come from there. Ah, so you were stationed in Bavaria. Bavarian metality is where the German stereotype of dense/stiff, but very reliable comes from and people there are quite similar to where I currently live which is Swabia/Baden-Württemberg. Also, I study close to Berlin. Berlin is nice for partying, but the Berlin chic is not my thing (peoplewise). Have a great day Lonnie =))
