Comfort eating would only delay your dream of dropping bellow 180 lbs. Hang in there, if you watch what you eat and exercise you will lose weight sooner or later.

So close! Stick with it and you will get there!

Don't! lol. You will get there, get some comfort beauty time, like a mani-pedi instead. Or a good book to lose yourself in.

Hang in there, don't give in to the comfort eating....voice of experience here. In the end giving in doesn't make you feel any better, the resulting gain in weight just makes your goal farther away. Keep working on it, figure out if you need to change something up in what you're doing, you can get there!

Classic case of why I don't list any activity in the log but continuous walking of cardio machines that tell me how many cals I burn. You listed yardwork recently.... 1 hr at 343 cals... NO WAY IS THE APP ACCURATE HERE! The end result is you think you have this huge cal deficit at the end of the day, so you can eat that extra snack. Your log consistently shows 1500 cal deficits each day... you should be dropping more than 2 lbs a week at that level. 180 lb you should be averaging 1500 cal intake per day... your log shows you are all over the place on several days. Take a deep breath, focus on 1500 cals in, ignore houswork, yardwork and the like and you will see 180 soon!

Let me clarify... you still need to clean your house and cut your grass... just don't enter the calorie burn in your activity log :0)

I started my first month by vowing not to eat out for breakfast or lunch (where calorie intake is mostly a guess). I did that by getting up 30 minutes early every day, making the same thing every morning (oatmeal and boiled eggs for me), and alternating lunch(s) between canned chicken or tuna mixed with ranch dressing and raisens, along with a serving of baby carrots or similar veggie. Packed the lunch in a small insulated lunch bag or box with an ice pack so I could take it with me even if I had to leave the office. Not fantastic on variety but I WANTED TO LIVE more than have variety... variety would come later. That way I knew exactly what I was going to eat for at least half my day, every day. Adjusted dinner intake based on the amount of exercise I did after work.

You do seem to have it right ckworksalot, mornings not really a porb for me, lunch generally good too but evenings are the real prob plus my love of wine !!

Maybe fast from wine for awhile... alcohol causes body to hold onto fat. Once you get skilled at managing your cals you can reintroduce if need be... note: that is not water in my hand... all things in moderation... but omly AFTER you have gained control!

CKworksalot, Kettle are you calling the pot black, Ive dropped so much from my past delights and treats, it is either retail therapy or some wine fron time to time, trying not to over-indulge, but my partner also loves her wine !!

I had similar problem lately, the solution was to change entire meal plan, I made it much more variate and randomized and my body got back to loosing weight. Goodluck!

Ok... maybe half a glass! I did cut alcohol out for the first 2-4 months till I was sure I was clearly figuring this heathy kifestyle out. When I did reintroduce it, I still had to answervthe question, "do I have enough cals left in my budget for this?" ... Just like any other food or drink I take into my body.
