TXSnowman's Journal, 21 September 2022

I'm working on maintenance. I don't have a tremendous amount of trouble losing weight, when I put my mind to it. Keeping it off is clearly my problem. I think that the problem arises from not actually having a plan or a goal for the maintenance. In that vein, I have developed a relatively simple goal. For the time being, I'm going to make 185 my weight mid-point. I'll monitor it and work to keep it between 180 and 189. That may seem like a large margin, however, my weight can fluctuate 7 pounds in as little as a couple of days. If I'm eating carbs, it shoots up and when I drop the carbs, I drop the pounds. The idea behind this plan is to try to get my body to adjust my body's weight setpoint down to the 180's instead of the 2xx's or 3xx's that it currently wants to be at. I feel that if I can keep it down for a year or so, not only will my body start to feel that this is my normal weight, but I might also lose some of the excess skin from my midsection. I hope that everyone has a wonderful humpday and remainder of the week.

I have to hand it to you .... you do get the job done as far as weight loss! I have heard maintaining is harder than losing the weight. Just keep tracking and weighing and when the pounds start to creep back, get back to eating low carb. Nice to see you here. I just came back.
