Laura CG's Journal, 14 September 2022

Today I feel profoundly motivated. When the scale hit 203. the other day, in the A.M.,after a pee and a poop, naked, and before breakfast, I was shocked. I have not weighed this much in 3 years. I have regained 23 out of 32 lb. lost. That weight loss was hard won. This was done through the Covid 19 pandemic, especially with the complex back surgery that I had in May 2020 in the midst of it all.
In this time frame, I have participated in Physio therapy both individually and in a group. I improved my "fitness" significantly through each session, only to let it all lapse as soon as sessions were over.
I want to get back into SOME form of exercise so that my knees don't shake, my back doesn't hurt, and my butt doesn't burn when I stand up for more than 5 minutes.
I need to be able to take care of my body or I will no longer be sewing, walking, taking off with Janet for a day of fun, or even living at home with Rick. So resuming some form of exercise is one of my gifts to me for my 70th birthday.
Now I am determined to return to at least 190 lb, before Christmas.
This and some form of exercise are my gifts to me for my 70th birthday in November.
So here we go!
200.2 lb Lost so far: 12.4 lb.    Still to go: 30.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
