thought it was too good to be true. Oh well. I'm fine with it.. gives me something to work toward. Things going well. Took a 9 or 10 mile hike with my husband today. Started off slow, hard, not feeling very well. I knew once we got the first couple of miles in it would get better. And it did. Beautiful weather - cold in the early morning (7:00am ish) and warm at times during the day, but mostly perfect hiking weather. For some reason, it took us a long time to hike it. But we enjoyed the views and several stops. Only real problem is somehow I hurt my knee and the last 2+ miles were SO painful. Feels sore now, but a lot better. I'll see if I can post any hiking pictures tomorrow.

Good morning, happynow! I had to laugh a little with you saying I was strong to do the hiking even with my knee hurting. Because I didn't have a choice! lol... I was a good couple miles from the parking lot when it REALLY started killing me, so I just joked with my husband asking if it was okay if I cried when we got to the truck. Oh well, I made it and he gave me his trekking pole to use, which really helped. We each have two, but we've been in the habit of only taking one each as they sometimes get in the way. But we know now - when you hurt your knee or your hip, two poles help! Anyway, no muscle soreness today and my knee is just a little sore. Amazing how the body recuperates! Thanks and I DID enjoy a restful evening and off to a great start for the week. I hope the same for you, my friend!

D, sorry that you hurt your knee...hope it isn't anything serious. Ice for the swelling, then in a few days heat. Your hike sounds wonderful....wish the weather here would cooperate and I could get some walking in. It has been grey, rainy, and almost downright cold out there, and I am becoming convinced that we are going to have a year without a summer!!! Glad that you are feeling better today, and I am sure that uptick on the scale is just a normal fluctuation, not a harbiger of things to come. Love ya! <3<3<3<3

Hi Bren! Well, looks like I fail on the attaching photos department (again). I'm NOT asking my kids how to get them from my phone to this again. It was a good hike and thank God, my knee feels better today. I even did a workout. Maybe not ALL OUT intensity, but wanted to make sure the knee was fine :). Hope you've had a great day.

Hi ctlss. As far as I could tell, there was no swelling. It's still a little sore, but nothing like it was yesterday. I wish I could share some of our weather. It really has been wonderful. We've only been able to hike once before in May (well, my husband can stand the heat hiking, I can't) Sure hope you're right about the scale! Love ya right back, woman!

Hi macarooon - I never asked why you have three "o's" in your name... Pretty sure the knee is fine, thanks so much! And we've gotten used to hikes about that length, but this one seemed SO much longer for some reason. Of course, knee pain helped THAT one, too! lol Thanks, and I hope you're having a great week!
