I was going to bike outside today but we had an air quality alert so I decided not to. Planning to do some stationary cycling later while watching Justified. Finished my dumbbell regimen for today and finishing up my Pilates. It was 92 today and we're headed for 95 tomorrow and 98 on Wednesday. We lost power briefly - I assume all the people on AC overloaded the grid. I hope to make it to Kroger tomorrow and get another blue ice pack and some fruit for the fruit infuser I'm going to use with a pitcher of water to stay hydrated. The two ice packs I put in front of the fan don't make much of a difference but it's better than nothing.

I ate fish sticks for dinner - making room in the freezer for the ice packs. I've been keeping an daily online journal but I decided to cut that back to 15 minutes a night and do it in handwriting because supposedly that produces better results. Trying to crank out 750 words a day takes too much time. According to one study, 15 minutes of journal writing at the end of the day produces a 22 percent increase in productivity. An hour may be overkill. I heard from the dumbbell seller yesterday and they don't know what happened to my shipment. They were very apologetic and sent me another set. If the delayed set arrives, I may just ask them to bill me for that as well because I don't want the hassle of sending it back - it's 45 pounds! - and I was going to get another set eventually.
