Back on the train. I went about a year of not watching much of what I was eating. There's no surprise then that I put on a few extra lbs.

Four days into the start of my current attempt and I'm happy with my results so far. I've come to the conclusion that the reason I frequently fail is that I refuse myself things that I love, namely beer and pizza. So this time around, I'm going to allow myself one day a week. Not necessarily the same day. But one day during which I can have a beer (or a rye, or a wine, or... etc). And one day a week when I can eat a meal with lots of breading, be it pizza or something else.

Last night was a beer. Well.... two, actually. But because I've been good, and because I wasn't constantly snacking, and because I was on my feet working all day, I still managed to lose a little. Not as much as I would like, but every time I've taken this journey, I've learned to be happy with every little bit of progress. And to not worry about any backslides, as long as they don't occur with any frequency.

So the week was a success!
228.4 lb Lost so far: 11.0 lb.    Still to go: 58.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
