TXSnowman's Journal, 04 June 2014

Getting ready to leave for another vacation. Flying out Saturday to Arizona for a the better part of a week in the mountains, then driving to New Mexico for another couple of days in the mountains there, before driving home. Internet and phone service will be spotty if available at all while I'm gone. Both ranches are way out in the nether reaches. One of them is in the middle of the National Forest and doesn't even have power lines to the property, but gets electricity from solar panels and a generator.

I've been "Paying it Forward" this week by cutting my calorie intake and increasing my calorie expenditures in order to drop a few pounds before the trip. I Know that travelling and hanging out with my best friend at the ranch will mean imbibing a few adult beverages and not having all of the good food choices available that I would normally have.

I'd like to maintain this weight through the vacation, but I'm not going to sweat it. I'm 5 1/2 pounds below my goal, so I've got some wiggle room.

Anyway, I hope all y'all have a wonderful hump day and that the rest of your week goes well for you.

You are set! I find it easy to eat well on vacation because I can just switch out the starches at restaurants for extra veggies. Have a wonderful time and don't sweat your weight. Just have a fabulous time!
