TXSnowman's Journal, 29 April 2014

I'm very pleased with the maintenance mode that I stayed in for four months. I went into January at 200 lbs and I'm leaving April just under 200 lbs. All in all, an unheard of state of affairs for me to stay relatively level for any length of time.

Having said that, Tax Season is officially over, so my office hours are going to be significantly reduced, so I can get on with a more aggressive training regimen. Hopefully by next January, I'll have my body fat percentage well below 15%.

It may be a somewhat slow start to the training though. My lower back is in some extreme pain. Even vicodin does nothing to ease the pain. I was digging a drainage line from the new cattle guard to the creek with a pick and shovel yesterday, and then I moved about 2 tons of dirt, which I had to shovel out of a 4' deep creek bed into a wheelbarrow on top of the bank and then push to the cattle guard to fill in around it where the cut was too large. Then I hung the final gate on the front fence line. I guess I overdid it a bit. So no weight lifting for a few days. No worries though, Friday morning, we are flying to South Carolina to visit my Son, his wife, my 2 year-old grandson and my 4 month-old granddaughter. So I'll have the better part of two weeks out there to recuperate a bit before I get back to my normal routine.

Anyway, I hope y'all have a good day and a great week.

You think? you overdid it? just be careful with the back, if it keeps hurting or pain gets worse go to the doctor, last year i overdid it and i thought i had a muscle spasm in my back - it was no muscle spasm at all, I ruptured my last vertebrae and it took 10 weeks to heal!Enjoy South Carolina!
