So my new normal meal prep consists in trying to figure out what I'm gonna eat for my meals. I'm still learning new recipes and finding the time to prepare them. There are a few days in a week where my schedule gets me to do things a little differently. But I still try to squeeze a workout in at least.

from my past experiences, you don't have to get fancy with your meal prep. not every meal has to be gourmet, Instagram photo worthy. keep it simple or else you'll be in the kitchen all day cooking, and that alone is a good way to get burned out real fast.

Rick is correct. My weekly meals look pretty, but they're very simple because I have limited time to make things during the day. Protein, veggies and/or fruit. Key is measuring things and logging them so you know how much you're eating. I have a cheap food scale, it was about $10 on amazon and it saves me from myself.

You are making a smart decision to squeeze in a workout. You deserve "me time".

A really easy lunch is to make "adult lunchables": lunch meat, nuts, veggies and dip, maybe some strawberries or grapes. Keeps well in the fridge and is filling.

I agree with Katsolo concerning the usefulness of an inexpensive food scale. Mine is cheap plastic and is still spot on with correct weight measurements. Although, I admit I have challenged it a few times, with a "awe come on, that can't possibly be 4 oz."!!!

right? I even weigh my syrup on my waffles and dressing on my salads. 20g. not perfect, but keeps it consistent.

Kat, I weigh apples, eat it then weigh the core and log the difference. I think I have a problem 🤪
