never2old's Journal, 10 April 2014

30-30-35 today and it's the first time I've actually felt my muscles complain of the workout. euheide, I think you're right. If we can just complete this challenge, we no doubt will have abs, and pain. The only question will be whether we can see them or not. Hopefully, the BB (belly blubber) will also be gone and the muscles will show.
Deb_N, I know you're doing this and I hope you stick with it, no matter how hard it seems, just grit your teeth and grind through.
Happy 2014, you promised after pics, and I promised bubbly, so I've already iced the bubbly, now you just have to finish the challenge.

Never2old, I am struggling through the AB challenge. I don't want to use the word sore or I will convince myself to leave the challenge! On the first "rest" day I did the exercises for the day that I missed when I was sick.

To everyone doing the AB challenge. If you can't do the 50 crunches and 50 leg raises all at once, trying doing 3 sets of 17. Take a 20-30 second break in between sets and then do the next set. So tomorrow we would do 3 sets of 22 for crunches and 2 sets of 17 for leg raises. Please note that the leg raise count drops from 50 (today) to 33 tomorrow. Something about which set of abs are affected by which exercise.

Oh yes that sounds like a great plan!! I was getting very nervous for day 10 because I am not sure I can do it!!! But I can do the splitting up that sounds good. Also, I am really feeling it in my top belly region. But after 3 kids from 9lbs 2 0z to 10 lbs 8 0z, my lower abs are to say the least flab? Im not feeling it there. Will it come or am I maybe doing something wrong?

Hopefully they will indeed become visible Never2old! ;) I'm already having to make rests between reps doing the leg raises but I restart immediately as soon as I'm up to it lol.

RoeCampy, you're doing everything right. Just keep up the good work. After 3 kids, your abs already have strength, you just need to tone them and get rid of some of the stomach fat that's sitting on top of them so you can see them. That's where diet comes in. Day 11 today and just 13 to go. You can do this, I know you can.
