truly frustrated. such an emotional roller coaster and I HATE roller coaster. worked extra hard to track everything, took vitamins and went to the gym an extra day this week and my result.... gained weight... 😪😪😪


chest 40 ---> down .5
upper belly 34 ---> same
lower belly 40 --> same
hips 41.5 ---> same
thigh 23 --> same
calf 13.5 --> same
arm 12 --> same
186.5 lb Lost so far: 4.9 lb.    Still to go: 36.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Definitely frustrating when you see the number go up instead of down!! But hang in there!! Your positive changes will start showing results and the most important part is feeling better and better!! Keep up the great work and know we are all here to support you in your journey!!

You'll see it next week. I hate the scale for that. Try on clothing you're trying to fit in to, that's a better measurement when you have days like these.

Focus now on how you feel and how your clothes fit. As been said, sounds like muscle weight which is a good thing 👍

I had the same kind of week, I totally get your frustration. I'm menopausal so it always seems I'm on a roller-coaster

don't let that discourage you. muscle gain and water retention is a real thing and will make you seem heavier as your muscle are tearing down and building. keep tracking what you eat and how much water you drink and you will see the scale move again

In the meantime, eat lots of veggies and fruit and just 3 oz of meat. Use just a bit of fat to add to your food and you will do great! I agree with everyone here, you are just fine!

You need protein. So I wouldn’t cut my meat consumption to 3 oz. we have to eat to lose weight. It is counterintuitive, but true. Muscle gain increases your metabolism and will eventually allow you to eat more. You must control your food intake and the weight will come off. It is true that muscle is more dense than fat so as Wondermom85 says, This may be a combination of muscle gain and water retention.
