Feeling like I want to give up. Ate really well yesterday only to see the scale go up. Im ovulating and retaining so much water. I feel so puffy and terrible. I also have strep or something like that. Ugh. Not a good day. It's going to be hard to stick to the diet today when I feel its futile.
133.0 lb Lost so far: 5.0 lb.    Still to go: 13.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

The water weight gain depresses me every time! It can shift by up to ten pounds a day though from what I've read so don't let it beat you! You have been doing so well!

You can do it! Don't always go by the scale. Celebrate your healthy day yesterday and know that it's NOT futile. Being consistently healthy, even through the yucky days, is what will create change!

Take it easy today you don't have to give up ...let the day go and when you feel better jump back on...you're doing a great job but you need to feel your best too. Rest up get some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Thanks for the encouragement, everyone. I am still eating right. I haven't caved. Just hoping I can make it through the rest of the day. Tomorrow should be better hopefully.

Instead of watching the scale have you considered a tape measure. Even if weight isn't moving you could be losing inches as you exercise.

Everyone has considered giving up at some time or another. But I know that I finally began this process because I was sick & tired of being fat & it was time to do something about it. It's not always easy & it's not always fun & some days it will just plain suck. So what. Do you really want to go back to the way your life was before you decided to make this change? You know you don't. You can't predict how you'll feel from one day to the next but you can plan what you will eat & how you will exercise. Decide what you're going to do & don't let it depend on how you feel...especially since doing what you know you need to will make you feel better & better. Work it out, girl.
