Babe53's Journal, 07 February 2014

Last night, It was a first for me since I started Atkins January 24th, that I had a craving. Pre-Atkins, hubby and I always enjoyed a night time snack together - I usually had a bowl of cereal. Last night after American Idol, I wanted a bowl of cereal so bad. But of course, I didn't.

I got some good advice on my previous post: Cut out the bars!

I recently got some (AWESOME) Atkins peanut butter bars, high protein, 2 netcarbs. One a day shouldn't hurt, but one day I had 2, they are SO good. But, I'm wondering now if they are the reason for my craving? I went in and removed it from my menu for today just in case. I don't want to take the chance. I suffer from cravings so bad (normally) and was thrilled that they were all gone when i started this diet. (Until I started in on these bars).

Nice to see the scale down a bit this morning. Wishing it would go a wee-bit faster though.

Perhaps it will, once I quit these bars.

missing cereal? we call it pig cereal, but it is good...use pork rinds, (I know it sounds gross but good), sprinkle splenda and cinnamon on it liberally and pour on the almond milk (unsweetened) and there you go, sort of like Cinnamon toast crunch and very low carb! try genaw.com and if it has an asterick in front of it, it is induction friendly!!! Best of luck!

Chop up some pork rinds and pour a little melted dark chocolate over it. Yum! Crunch Bar!

Omg you guys; pork rinds are great for use in frying my pork chops, but drizzling dark chocolate over it? REALLY??? Crunch Bar? Wow, now THIS I gotta TRY! And thanks Crystalmcwarren - for the website. I'll check it out, for sure. I have yet to try almond milk, but it's definitely on my to-try list. :):):)
