The wheels have come off my weight loss plan. In the last month I've put weight back on that took three months to lose. I'm well-acquainted with the reasons. 1) We've had a guest in the house for nearly two weeks, and we've all been using that as an excuse to eat dessert and drink alcohol regularly, instead of occasionally. 2) I stopped bicycling because the outdoor weather has been terrible, and I've only used the stationary bike once. 3) Insufficient fiber. 4) Typical winter issues: less activity in general, more "comfort food". 5) Naughty foods in the house.

The solution is just as obvious: get back on the horse, or rather I should say put the wheels back on the plan, to not mix metaphors. Cut way back on alcohol and dessert (having the guest leave on Saturday will help), get the naughty foods out of the house, eat less meat and more fruits & vegetables, get back into a regular exercise plan, and do things outside when the weather permits. And if nothing else works, then count calories for a while.
