I discovered my favorite salad from Chick-Fil-A, the Cobb Salad with Spicy Dressing, is a delectable wolf in sheep's clothing.

Thank God I am actually doing the FS food journal! I would have probably eaten that salad at least twice a week in the name of Healthy Eating.

Caloric breakdown of the afore-mentioned salad and dressing, plus the packet of sun-dried peppers that comes with it, is as follows:
780 calories
55g fat
12g sat. fat
1710mg sodium
32g carbs
9g sugar
41g protein

Just for comparison, a #1 Chicken Sandwich Meal with small waffle fries and a Diet Coke would be:
750 calories
34g fat
7g sat. fat
1535mg sodium
78g carbs
5g sugar
31g protein

While its carb-protein-fat ratio isn't ideal, damn. I might as well have gotten fries.

Healthier Choice (Because my kids love Chick-Fil-A and I know we'll be going back soon)= Market Salad with Reduced Fat Berry Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing and Harvest Nut Granola topping:
350 calories
11g fat
2g sat. fat
955mg sodium
41g carbs
27g sugar
26g protein

More sugar, but wow everything else is a much happier number! Next time. :)

its really unfair with the salads sometimes a salad in a restsurant can be up to 1000cal with dressing! they put heaps of mayonnaise and unhealthy stuff in it to make it taste so yummy:-):O garden salad with dressing on the side is the only safe option i find!
