At least it is moving in the right direction again!
Well I spent about an hour and a half today outside on my cross country skis before the temps fall to unbelievable 40-50 below with the wind chill for the next 3 days. I think my legs will fall off tomorrow with the temps and then the pain from skiing so far today. I put a load in the clothes washer before I headed out to ski. When I came in during a break to use the bathroom the load was washed so moved it to the dryer and put another load in to wash. Went out to ski some more and then came back in to that load being done. At least I got some chores done while I was out exercising! Now to get the last load dried, everything folded and put away, get my shower to clean up after skiing...then I can start cleaning my dining room today and the Christmas mess cleaned up. Finally I will bake two more batches of cookies to still plate up for gifts.

Wow, at 800 calories burned an hour cross country skiing you are sure to see the scale moving in the right direction! I think the breaks in the house also warm you up. Do you see birds and animal tracks when you are out skiing? The low temps predicted for the next few days sound down right dangerous. Do you all den up or just keep going about your activities and going to work?

we don't stop living just cause it is cold. We will probably go to church in the morning and then Monday and Tuesday I will go to work. We did have our daughter not come home for a friends wedding tonight. She would have a hard time getting back to south dakota from our house through an area that is to have blizzard conditions tomorrow. That is the only time that we stay put...if you cannot see to go. Otherwise you cover everything and go about your business. Today was over 20 degrees when I was skiing. It was gorgeous! Going to be shocking when we go out tomorrow! We saw fox, pheasant, squirrel, mouse, deer, coyote and various other tracks in the snow today. It was awesome.

How wonderful to see the evidence of the wildlife. And such a wide variety. We see it on the sand down here at the beach. Gulls, heron, oyster catchers and the like. Mostly seabirds. We did see a peregrine falcon eating a skimmer one morning. It gave us the stink eye as of to say, this catch is 'mine' We are on a little over nite trip and I made sure to eat a proper lunch, not knowing what supper would bring. We endedup at Burger King- fish sandwich with no bun and a salad. I will see what FS has to say about my choices and how the carbs add up. Am not giving up on this project!
