waist measurement: didn't bother

I have a theory, I think that the moment I started to unpredictably gaining weight coincides with the moment I stopped weight training due to my back problem. The problem is my aerobic exercise hasn't been constant so there's no way to really be sure until I am on a constant aerobic exercise regime. So that's my main goal right now, doing aerobics every day.
131.2 lb Lost so far: 13.0 lb.    Still to go: 7.7 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 14 November 2013:
1762 kcal Activities & Exercise: Swimming (moderate) - 50 minutes, Resting - 15 hours and 10 minutes, Sleeping - 8 hours. more...
gaining 1.5 lb a week

I threw my back out too and what a difference in trying to keep my weight down when I stop exercising. I hope you take it easy with the aerobics so your back heals! I will be doing the exact same thing and start on Monday.

Thank you very much for the imput Maggie, I hope you get better too! Right now, the aerobic exercises I'm doing are relatively harmless for my back (swimming is even good, at least the backstroke) and when I do indoor cycling, I sit upright, I don't grab the wheel, which could possibly put some strain on my back. I'm slowly starting to achieve a 3 times a week swimming practice heheh. I still don't know whether I'm going to do indoor cycling but I think that that will be done when I skip swimming. As for weight training. I think that I will only do exercises that don't put strain on my back, such as chin-ups, push-ups, etc ;) No dead-lifts, arm-curls, etc for now. But swimming really has a huge beneficial effect on my back. I would say it's miraculous! :) Don't stop doing aerobics. Just stick to those exercises that don't hurt your back, or your metabolism will take a dive and you'll gain much more weight. Right now, I wish I knew the difference between the contribution of weight training VS aerobics. I think I'm going to try to find out by sticking to aerobics first and seeing the results, and only then, starting that restricted weight training. I swam yesterday but I still haven't logged it :)

The reason why I don't know whether I'll do indoor cycling is that my legs are taking a beating in swimming. I used to do athletics and, at that time, I could practically swim using only my legs but those days are long gone and my legs are now much weaker lol...

Yes that will be the only way to tell. Isolate one activity at a time. I will be curious about the result

Thanks! I'm very curious too! My weight keeps going up lol. I will stick to swimming and indoor cycling for the sake of finding out what really works heheh :) Yesterday I swam, today I'll do some light cycling and keep it that way for some time ;)
