Have been trying to go back to less carbs but also had to quit going to gym as my back got worse. Xrays and scan show a lacerated vertebra so no exercise for a month or so.I was turning into a gym junky and loving it. Now I will need a lot of courage to start again in case the pain worsens. Sure it makes a difference to my loss. Been 2 weeks no gym now. Sniff.
214.0 lb Lost so far: 40.0 lb.    Still to go: 71.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I too have been away from the gym for 3 weeks now and missing it due to a crocked left knee (old age!!) but have kept to atkins as strictly as possible and am still losing weight (1.5 kg this week!). Keep at it.

Sorry you're off the gym. Hope you will be able to get back soon and build up again.

We always feel better when we exercise but this diet will work without it, just a little slower. I know because I am not good about exercising. Listen to your doctor and rest your back when it feels better you can start out slowly.
