Well, I enjoyed pie month (aka September), giving in to old habits of high calorie, low nutrition desserts. And I paid for it by finding at least 6 lb that I had lost through A) healthy eating for 7.5 mths, and B) recovering from very complex and massive surgery for 3 mths. and on over the next year (per Dr Rampersaud). So, what I worked so hard to lose in 10.5 mths, I regained in only a month.
Well, the party's over! It's time to get back to recording my daily food and water intake. To actually see what I am putting in my body. To reclaim my healthy eating, or to know and show why. To return to my weight loss project, not for looks or compliments, but for health aka diabetes control, arthritis pain control, fatty liver and cholesterol management and so many other issues. My body is affected by my food as a complex fuel that keeps my body running well (or not). And when my body runs well, I (should) feel better, have more energy and live longer.
If I give this another fair shot to see if all these dreams and desires will come true, then I can see so much more of life and those that I love.
HERE'S TO THE FUTURE!
188.4 lb Lost so far: 24.2 lb.    Still to go: 18.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
